At dawn, our love was bright with promise.

Rays of yellow sunshine

Danced with delight through our days.

Verdant green vistas stretched out before us.

Orange and white wildflowers sprang up

As our love blossomed.

In the evenings, our passion pulsed

Deep crimson and purple,

Followed by quiet indigo interludes of

Peace and fulfillment.

Sadly, gray storm clouds of disillusion

Swept in and darkened our future.

Lightning flashed,

Thunder rolled,

And our dance ended.

But in the twilight after the rain,

Golden beams of gratitude glow on the horizon

As we remember what once was.

We were given a gift –

A kaleidoscope of love.
